GMT Services installs CLEAR.NET and QlikView at Peute Papier Recycling
The organization Peute Papier Recycling from Dordrecht has chosen to replace the SQL-based custom package PLAP by CLEAR.NET. Peute can use for the most part the existing functionality within CLEAR, but for the industry-specific processes GMT will customized CLEAR.NET.
The choice was made to use CLEAR and QlikView on one server and to use virtualization. GMT Services has installed a HL DL360 server, which is equipped with the latest release of Red Hat Linux, version 5. This release provides support for virtualization standard, so that the necessary Windows2003 server QlikView as virtual instance on this server could be established. By applying two RAID Array's in the Linux operating system and physical CLEAR made the disk on which the instance is running Windows2003. Heavy (transaction) processes will not affect each other. The server has 8GB of internal memory and an additional processor, so that the resources could be optimally distributed.
GMT Services has created a solid basis to which Peute will be one of the first customers fully using CLEAR.NET.
