Successful Linux migration Municipality of Assen
GMT Services has recently completed a successful migration HP-UX to Suse Linux at the Municipality of Assen.
After a test period of a number of months, where the CLEAR application, environmental-park connections and Internet access Services were thoroughly tested, the migration of the production environment took place in the weekend of 11 and 12 October.
The platform on which the application CLEAR for years has worked to the satisfaction is retired.
Cost-saving by lower operating costs is, among other things, the reason for this platform change. The migration to this new environment has meant that working with the application CLEAR is even more smoothly and, for example, the billing is done much faster.
With this new design the Municipality of Assen respond to future developments of the CLEAR application.
